March – Bloodstone

Do not be put off by this dramatically named birthstone. Bloodstone is natural rock which contains fire-colored iron oxide inclusions. Bloodstone is a strong birthstone which denotes passion, fire and anger. Closely linked to the movements of Mars bloodstone is sometimes seen as a symbol of war, but for those lucky enough to be born in the month of March bloodstone symbolizes strength and spirit.
