Peridot is a gem-quality olivine crystal and is usually pale lime green in colour. Peridot is a calming stone and it is used in crystal healing to get over colds, sore throats and stress. September’s children are known to be quiet and analytical, and peridot has much the same quality when worn as a birthstone.
